Desert Lacrosse was organized in 2001. The club was created for experienced players only and the roster is limited to 24 permanent players. Desert boasts players that have had previous experience in the MLL, DI, DIII and top USLIA programs.

The Arizona Club Championship, called the Kactus Kup, is played twice each year. Desert has won 5 of the past 7 Kup games. Since its creation in 2001, Desert has lost only 2 Kup games.

Players are added by invitation only. Experienced players may request inclusion on the team and receive "alternate" status until a permanent roster spot becomes available. If you are an experienced player and would like to request a spot on our alternate roster, please forward a summary of your experience and your position to info@desertlacrosse.com

The team plays a Fall season that runs from October through December and a Spring season that runs from February to May. There are no practices. Games are held almost exclusively on Sunday afternoons against other area club and college teams. The club also fields teams for tournaments in California and Nevada each year.
